Client Journey

1. Discover

We set the foundation for the coaching relationship by introducing you to our methodology, learning about your “why,” and sketching out your leadership vision.

2. Assess

Our holistic assessment process merges self-insights and feedback from key stakeholders to establish leadership profile that summarizes your assets and growth areas.

3. Plan

We partner with you to create a personalized leadership blueprint that reflects your goals, outlines actionable objectives, and identifies how we’ll measure your progress.  

4. Support

Through regular one-on-one sessions, your coach will provide progressive feedback, encouragement, connection, and counsel to support you along your leadership journey.  

5. Follow-Up

Our coaches collect regular client feedback to ensure satisfaction with the partnership and, if needed, adapt approaches to meet clients’ evolving or shifting needs.

6. Close

Once the process has been completed, we will provide recommendations and guidance on how to continue to grow personally and professionally, well after our collaboration ends.

Carol F. Burton

Carol is a strategic advisor, facilitator, bridge-builder, and the founder and CEO of Jeweld Consulting.

Committed to lifting as she climbs, Carol is passionate about providing mentorship and coaching to support others in finding their own success. With a background in social work and more than 20 years of experience in C-suite and nonprofit executive roles, she knows what it takes to lead with compassion, confidence, and clarity.

Known for translating vision into action, she excels at facilitating organization-wide transformation and is a trusted advisor on mental and behavioral health, housing, and criminal justice policy.

Carol is the Board Chair for Baywell Health, a lifetime member of Black Women Organized for Political Action, and a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.

CurVie Burton

CurVie is a certified professional coach who believes there’s a leader inside everyone. He’s a champion of diversity with a proven track record of inspiring change at Fortune 100 companies.

His mission is to cultivate servant leaders who feel empowered to create transformative impact in their communities. His personalized coaching style meets leaders where they are—whether they’re just starting out or steering the ship in the C-suite.

CurVie guides clients using leading insights from top industry groups (e.g., ICF, PMI, and ITSMF) and merges emotional intelligence, positive psychology, and business savvy to help leaders thrive in complex situations.

Darien Burton

Darien is a leadership development coach with over 20 years of experience providing mentorship and coaching for both professional and personal development. He helps clients tap into their compassion, purpose, integrity, and joy to become more authentic, self-aware leaders.

With deep expertise in change management and continuous improvement, Darien is adept at strengthening employee engagement, building inclusive teams, and supporting others to meet their full potential by accomplishing their desired outcomes.

He has been recognized for his leadership excellence within high functioning global organizations, receiving outstanding employee engagement scores outpacing both company and industry benchmarks.

Deborah Harris

Deborah is a personal and executive coach with extensive experience across non-profit and for-profit sectors. Leveraging her expertise in leadership, operations, training, and DEI, Deborah empowers individuals and teams to thrive.

She partners with leaders across the career lifecycle to hone management skills, foster employee engagement, build high-performing teams, and cultivate inclusive workplaces. Leading with a deep commitment to self, interpersonal, and organizational awareness, she combines positive psychology and strategic insights that enable clients to achieve desired goals, transformative growth, and sustainable success.

Deborah holds a B.S. in Education (University of Florida), M.A. in Educational Leadership (University of Houston), Executive Coach Certification (Coaching and Positive Psychology Institute), and certifications in Diversity and Inclusion (eCornell University and Academy to Innovate HR).

Mayme Doumbia

Mayme is the founder and principal of Xcelsior Coaching & Consulting LLC, a firm offering expertise in leadership and team coaching, facilitation, and training. She excels in steering strategic change, fostering organizational culture, and building trust and psychological safety in the workplace.

With her military background underscoring a commitment to service, discipline, excellence, and integrity, Mayme has effectively transformed leadership culture for Fortune 500 clients. Her professional ethos is rooted in bridging cultural gaps and crafting lasting legacies through diversity, equity, and inclusion.

She currently serves as President of Coaches of Color and Culture; as Director of Alliance and a DEI committee member in the ICF-NT community; and formerly served as Vice President of Equity, Outreach, and Belonging for ICF Oregon.

Michelle Williams

Michelle is the CEO of Shalom Consultants and former VP of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Firefly Children and Family Alliance. With 25+ years of experience, she has served as a social worker, pastor, mentor, strategic advisor, and dean.

In 2019, Michelle founded Shalom Consultants to help organizations navigate transitions while staying mission-focused. As a Certified Diversity Executive, she emphasizes systems thinking and the OATE framework (Ownership, Accountability, Transparency, Empowerment).

A dynamic speaker and writer, Michelle addresses DEI, leadership, and change management. She co-authored The Diversity Playbook and believes meaningful change is a continuous, collaborative process rooted in strong relationships.

Tommie Y. English

Tommie is a certified executive leadership coach with specialized expertise in DEI and group facilitation. Tommie’s one-to-one and group coaching is strengthened by 30+ years of executive leadership experience.

She spent two decades as a Senior Vice President and Executive Director for a Fortune 100 financial services company, overseeing operations for more than 1,000 employees while also leading diversity and inclusion initiatives for more than 3,000 employees. She also spent 10 years leading operations in the nonprofit sector.

Tommie’s superpower is her ability to create compelling energy and provide a safe space for leaders to explore, connect, and discover. Using storytelling and best-in-class leadership practices, she inspires clients to self-reflect, answer tough questions, and act with intention.

Wendy Lee

Wendy is an ICF-certified professional coach who leverages her 20+ years as a Vice President of Human Resources to improve clients’ leadership and people management skills. She facilitates growth in communication, conflict management, emotional regulation, time management, work–life balance, and personal wellbeing.

With her support, clients gain greater self-awareness, set goals that are aligned with their values, and lean into their strengths to overcome obstacles and reach their full potential.

Wendy is a member of the International Coaching Federation and serves on the Texas Coaches Coalition board. She is grateful that she was raised by parents who taught her to believe in herself, to always look for the silver lining, and to strive to make a difference in the lives of others.
